Contemporary Chicano in Society SOC 115

This syllabus is for an introductory course on the sociological factors that have impacted historic and current Chicanx/Latinx communities. This course draws from Freirian, Critical Race Theory, and Women of Color Feminist principles of education where students dialogically engage course themes and how it impacts their lives. Students present on course themes and share insights verbally and textually throughout the semester thereby expanding their understanding of Chicanx/Latinx communities develop, sturggle, resist, and survive in our society.
