The California Chapter of the National Association for Multicultural Education (CA-NAME) is organizing its 5th Annual Statewide Conference. The conference will take place on Wiyot land, Humboldt State University, Arcata, CA, on Friday January 8 and Saturday January 9, 2016. We are presently accepting proposals for workshops, panels, and paper / poster presentations that address the conference’s theme of “The Struggle for Multicultural Education: Sharing, Examining and Reflecting on Our Practices.” Confirmed keynote speakers include Dr. Christine Sleeter and Dr. Margarita Berta-Avila.
